Shipping Policy

Sunward Bound aims to ship all orders within 48 hours, excluding weekends and sale periods.

Shipping Within Australia

• Standard Shipping: $10 AUD | 3–6 business days

• Express Shipping: $14 AUD | 1–3 business days

Shipping to New Zealand

• Standard Shipping: $10 AUD | 7–15 business days

• Express Shipping: $20 AUD | 5–8 business days

Shipping to USA, Canada & International

• Rates calculated at checkout | 10–20 business days

All orders are shipped via Australia Post or DHL with tracking provided.

We use biodegradable and compostable packaging.

Customs & Duties

International orders may be subject to import duties, tariffs and taxes depending on the destination country.

Any duties, taxes or fees charged by local customs authorities are the responsibility of the customer unless based in the US.

Exchanges Policy

Exchanges are accepted within 30 days of purchase for full-priced, unworn items with tags intact.

• No exchanges are available on sale, discounted or promotional items.

• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

• Sunward Bound covers the cost of sending the exchanged item back to the customer.

• Items that are worn, dirty, damaged or not returned in original condition will not be accepted and may be returned to the customer at their expense.

• Direct exchanges are not available for orders shipped to the United States. Please see our United States Returns Policy below.

Returns & Refunds Policy

We accept returns for change of mind on full-priced products provided they are unworn, in original condition, with tags intact and returned within 30 days of purchase.

We do not accept returns on:

• Sale or discounted items

• Promotional purchases where the item was discounted

Refunds are processed to the original payment method.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Please allow up to 5 business days for funds to appear after your return has been received and processed.

United States Returns Policy

Due to the current US tariff situation and the non-refundable duties and tariffs associated with orders shipped to the United States, we are unable to offer direct exchanges on US orders.

If you require a different size, colour or style, you are welcome to return an eligible full-priced item for a refund and place a new order separately.

For change-of-mind and sizing returns:

• Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping to Australia.

• International return postage from the United States can be expensive, so we recommend checking return shipping costs before sending your parcel.

• A 10% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund to help cover the non-refundable costs associated with processing US orders and returns.

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

• Any tariffs, duties or associated import costs paid by Sunward Bound on the original order are not recoverable and are reflected in the restocking fee

• If you wish to order a different size, colour or style, this must be placed as a new order and will be subject to the shipping costs applicable to that order

• Sale, discounted and promotional items are final sale and cannot be returned.

The 10% restocking fee applies only to change-of-mind and sizing returns.

Any concerns regarding a possible fault, damage or incorrect item must be reported to us directly for assessment before a return is sent. Photos, video or further information may be requested as part of this process.

Important Notes

• A receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns and exchanges.

• Sunward Bound does not provide prepaid return shipping labels for returns.

• Customers are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of return shipping.

• We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service, as Sunward Bound is not responsible for return parcels lost in transit.

• Sale, discounted and promotional items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

• Returns must be received in their original condition. Items that show signs of wear, use, washing, damage, staining or alteration may be rejected.

• Once an order has been delivered to the address provided and marked as delivered by the carrier, Sunward Bound is not responsible for subsequent loss or theft.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you believe you have received a faulty, damaged or incorrect item, please contact us before returning it.

All claims are assessed individually and we may request photos, video or further information before approving a return or remedy.

Items should not be returned as faulty without prior approval.

International Duties & Customs Charges

International orders may be subject to import duties, tariffs and taxes, which vary by country.

These charges are determined by the relevant customs authority and are outside Sunward Bound's control.

Where duties or tariffs are collected at checkout, these amounts may be remitted to customs authorities and may not be recoverable if the customer later chooses to return the order.

Duties, Taxes and Returned Parcels

Customers are responsible for any applicable import duties, taxes or fees charged by their local customs authority.

If a package is refused, duties remain unpaid, or the parcel is abandoned or destroyed by customs, no refund will be issued.

If a package is returned to sender due to unpaid duties or refusal, a refund will be processed once the item has been received back at our warehouse, less a $25 handling fee and any non-refundable shipping, duties, tariffs or associated charges incurred by Sunward Bound.
